About Kathy
Kathy Eastwood is a leadership strategist, executive advisor, and CEO of E Equals Why. For more than thirty years, she has helped organizations navigate change and deliver results, including Ernst & Young, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, high-growth startups, and private equity-backed companies, operating in C-suite roles.
She founded E Equals Why after seeing a consistent pattern: strong strategies falling short, not because people lacked capability, but because leaders underestimated the human dynamics that drive execution. That insight led to the development of the E3 Leadership Code, a practical system for building clarity, trust, and accountability through everyday leadership.
Based in New York City, she enjoys time with her husband, family, and close friends, and finds energy in travel, meaningful conversations, and a great glass of wine.
Kathy’s work is grounded in real-world experience. She has seen firsthand the impact of both exceptional and harmful leadership, which has shaped her conviction that trust is never assumed. It is built intentionally through how leaders show up, especially in the moments that matter most.
Through speaking, facilitation, and executive advisory, she works with leaders to strengthen culture, improve execution, and deliver meaningful outcomes at scale. She is committed to leading with both head and heart and serves on purpose-driven boards, including Conscious Capitalism NYC.
Kathy is driven by a deep belief that leadership shapes people’s lives, not just business success. She is passionate about inspiring and enabling others to realize what is possible, rooted in the idea that with patience, perseverance, and encouragement, people can achieve far more than they often expect of themselves.
She leads with empathy, striving to understand others’ perspectives and recognizing that how we think shapes how we lead. Known for her mindset of mental toughness and extra effort (MTXE), Kathy brings both optimism and determination to everything she does.
